After a sold-out six-week season in 2024, End of Summer Time, returns for a strictly limited two-week season.
Life teaches an old dog new tricks.

Sir Roger Hall’s booked out show briefly returns. End of Summer Times re-introduces lovable curmudgeon with a heart of gold, Dickey Hart. Rugby fanatic Dickey, first entertained audiences in the late 90’s in Come On Black which toured the country to sellout crowds. Dickey Hart reappeared in the 2013 You’ve Got to be Joking and his change of lifestyle, going from the country into town, again kept us highly amused.

Now it is 2023. Older now, Dickey has moved into an Auckland apartment with wife Glenda…to be nearer the grandchildren. He tries valiantly and hilariously to confront life in the great big, bad city and very funny, sticky situations abound.

Then, suddenly Covid strikes and Dickey finds himself isolated and starting to go downhill. Thankfully he rallies … a little older and a lot wiser …and so a positive, enlightened future can now be enjoyed by the valiant, resilient Dickey and by crikey he gives it heaps! Because even this crusty old dog can learn new tricks.

A Messy Magic Adventure
Sensible Spray and excitable Wipe are messy magicians, and they’ve been invited to a surprise party. But after a terrible cake squishing accident, magic is let loose in the kitchen, everything is turned topsy turvy, and they have to figure out how baking works before the party starts… Circus, slapstick and magic combine in this very special adventure for children aged 3 to 8.
After a sold-out season in 2018 and a national tour in 2020, Kitchen Chaos returns to Circa with all the joy, mess and mayhem audiences have come to expect from Rollicking Entertainment’s signature style of children’s theatre.

Written and performed by Regan Taylor, this moving piece of theatre combines comedy and drama, delving into themes of sobriety, cultural heritage, and the impact of personal history on present actions.

When the journey gets really rocky and rough, who’s got your back?
When Mīkaere (12) and Sophie (13) arrive at their school campsite, they expect adventure—but nothing like this. A strange energy hums beneath the forest floor, pulling them toward a glade shrouded in mystery. As they explore, they uncover long-buried secrets—of the land, of themselves, and of a darkness that has waited in the shadows for far too long.
Now, the glade is in danger, and so are they. With time running out, Mīkaere and Sophie must confront forces beyond their understanding. But the deeper they go, the more the glade demands of them. Courage will be tested, sacrifices will be made—and not everyone may make it out alive.

He Toi Puaki – Seed Commissions, is a significant evolution in Kia Mau’s commitment to nurturing indigenous voices and fostering homegrown talent amongst our arts whānau here in Te Upoko o te Ika a Māui.
He Toi Puaki embodies the essence of its name by serving as a platform for emerging artists to blossom from seeds of creativity into fully realised productions. This commissioning opportunity is set to redefine the landscape of indigenous performance art in Aotearoa.
Among the inaugural recipients of the He Toi Puaki commission are Emma Katene, Īhaka Martyn, and the dynamic partnership known as CONJAH, forged between Jahra Wasasala and Ooshcon.
