John founded PatronBase to solve a problem. With his own IT services company, and a strong personal interest in the performing arts, John was uniquely equipped to develop our first product: a new ticketing and booking system for his local theatre. Assembling a group of like-minded tech experts and arts lovers has evolved into a global business and a suite of integrated products that serve the arts community.


Brad Morris


Starting his career in IT with Museum Victoria, Brad is an experienced infrastructure engineer with an interest in the arts. Brad had a long association with PatronBase before taking on the role of Principal in 2017. His technical skill and interest in CRM databases and service management assists the global team.

Rob Walters

Principal & Technical Director

Rob’s interest in both software and performance started at an early age. A BSc in Computer Science from Cardiff University and supporting student productions backstage cemented his interests. Passionate about digital innovation, Rob is also our global Technical Director which gives him a deep knowledge of what makes the PatronBase solution tick and what’s next in tech.


Alvaro Sarmiento


Alvaro has over 30 years’ experience working in the performing arts, including holding significant roles in marketing, venue management and production. He is interested in the intersection between technology and cultural management and how this can improve an organisation’s capability. As a Fulbright scholar, Alvaro holds a Masters in Performing Arts Management.

Marc Ross


Part of the extended PatronBase family, our US and Canada office operates under the moniker BravoBase. BravoBase is the PatronBase ticketing system customised for the American and Canadian markets.
